- 4 cups bread cubes, stale (or bake in a 250°F oven for 20-30 minutes to dry them)
- 1/4 - 1/3 cup raisins
- 2 tbsp. instant pudding (french vanilla)
- 1 cup whole milk or half and half
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp. melted butter
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- Stir together the bread cubes, raisins, and pudding in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl or mixing cup, mix milk, eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to bread cube mixture, and stir to coat. Transfer to a crockpot that has been coated with cooking spray.
- Cook on low for 2 to 2-1/2 hours, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
